Trend: Diabetics Finding Information Online

If you’re reading this blog, then you’re one of many diabetics who are searching for and getting information online. 

According to a recent article by Manhattan Research, their Cybercitizen Health™ study indicates that “nine out of ten online diabetes patients use the Internet to research health information, and two-thirds use the Internet to access pharmaceutical product information.”  Also, they reported that the diabetes blog community is growing. In their 2007 research, they found that the top research by consumers is for diabetes.  “But the more than 24 million people who have researched diabetes online are obviously not all patients themselves – in fact, the number of people researching diabetes online is almost twice the number of people who actually have diabetes.”
