Some news…

I was debating on whether or not to write this post…but I figured that I could use all the help I can get.

And the news is……..My husband and I are going to start trying for a baby in September!

The timing for a September (or after) pregnancy is perfect for us. Matt and I have been talking about a child for a long time now…one day, he looked at me and said “In September, we can try for a baby.” I cried and he cried and we’ve just been getting more excited ever since.

My husband agreed that I need all the support I can get from my friends in the DOC to try and get my A1C within range, stay motivated and gather any advice I can to try and be prepared for the crazy ride ahead in (hopefully) 6 months. My last A1c wasn’t at all where I wanted it to be, but I’m hoping for a lower number this time. I’ve been wearing the Dexcom everyday, watching what I eat and trying to nip highs in the butt (which is why that crazy high last month was so upsetting to me).

I want to be as healthy as possible for the future Bunkie that will be growing inside me, and I know a lot of you out there have been through this, so I appreciate any feedback (positive please!)

Matt and I are so excited!!
