December 8 – Beautifully Different. Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful. (Author: Karen Walrond)

I am not different. In one way or another I am in the same position as somebody else in this world. I am a type one diabetic and I’m not the only one. I am a nursing student and I’m not the only one. I am a daughter, niece, granddaughter, cousin, friend, and relative.

From afar I am just the girl with the cute backpack in class just paying attention. Nobody know about my diabetes or what I go through everyday due to my health. There is nothing unique about me. I just do me and for now that’s enough.
