Life on Insulin

Just popping in to say Hi to everyone and I hope you are all ready for the holidays.

Lily is doing well lately.  Her insulin dosage is low thanks to what she’s eating.  She is only on Novolog for now….no Levemir yet.  She still gets too low at times and the thought of Levemir and Novolog scares me at this point because of her mito disorder and the underlying issues with hypoglycemia.

So far, Lily has been doing well.  It was an adjustment at first, and we are still having to learn about carb counting, etc., but I think that Lily is going to be able to maintain a healthy, and hopefully, long life after learning how to control her blood sugars with diet and insulin.

I will post more later.

God bless and talk to you all soon.
