Dear Future Cynthia,

I’m sorry if you are suffering. I’m sorry if you are in pain. I’m sorry that you are still living with diabetes. However, if you are not suffering, in pain, or have diabetes, I am extremely happy that they finally found a cure for you! Until that day comes I am still trying my beset to take care of myself. Even though I hate it, I still want to be alive and well for a very long time. I will still wear my Dexcom when my numbers are starting to get out of range just for you. I will still test my blood sugar as many times as I need to just so I can be healthy someday for a cure. Just please get here soon! 13  years of diabetes is already wearing me out!

19 year old Cynthia
