JDRF Gala Coming in May 2009

I am helping the Cincinnati Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in planning one of their largest annual events and fundraisers.  As a Type 1 diabetic, I invite you to join in this worthy cause and make others aware of it.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will be holding the 2009 Cincinnatians of the Year Gala, honoring Linda and Harry Fath on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Duke Energy Center. There will be cocktails and a silent auction starting at 6pm, plus a black tie dinner and program at 7:30pm.  The black-tie event includes an elegant dinner and cocktail party, dancing, great entertainment and unique live and silent auction items.

JDRF conducts a very unique live auction called Fund A Cure, which provides every Gala guest with the opportunity to make a direct contribution to fund JDRF’s outstanding researchers and scientists both locally and throughout the world.

If you can’t attend, you can still help in other ways.  JDRF is still taking silent auction donationsfrom local businesses.  If you have any time, give them a call to volunteer.  It’s a great organization, supporting research into a cure for diabetes.  You can also find the Cincinnati JDRF on Facebook!
