Welcome to WordPress.com.

Because I was very fortunate to survive a diabetic coma, I believe that part of my responsibility is to share my experience, so that others will benefit and hopefully improve their health, and live a happier life — free from the drugs and the complications of diabetes: amputation, blindness, kidney dialysis, heart attack and stroke.

With my daughter Cynthia’s help, I wrote the book Death to Diabetes, to try to answer many of the questions that diabetics struggle with every day. Because of the book’s success, I have been asked to speak at many events. Unfortunately, most people found my talks to be too technical and boring. My daughter pointed out that I needed to share my personal stories, instead of focusing on all the medical and technical aspects of the disease.

Thanks to my daughter, I have modified my talks to share my personal story and try to use more humor during my speaking engagements.
