DBlog Week: Post 4) Ten Things I Hate…

Ten things I hate about you, Diabetes – Thursday 5/12: Having a positive attitude is important . . . but let’s face it, diabetes isn’t all sunshine and roses (or glitter and unicorns, for that matter).  So today let’s vent by listing ten things about diabetes that we hate.  Make them funny, make them sarcastic, make them serious, make them anything you want them to be!!

Oh, Diabetes, how I loathe thee. Oh yes, yes I do. Shall I count thee ways?

1.) #DiabetusInterruptus Way Too Often: can’t you just let me Be, let me Live?

2.) Lows. I despise lows. They scare me. They make me lose control. I feel awful in ways you just cannot imagine. Totally despicable are these lows.

3.) This love/hate relationship with food I’ve had for 26 years? Yeah, it’s Your fault.

4.) Having to poke/prick more than one finger to get blood makes me mad. Every. Time.

5.) Free showers don’t seem so free anymore; all I think about is what real estate isn’t dead yet because of you.

6.) Exhaustion seen as laziness by others from the many glucosters you put me on, which I Never agree to, pisses me off.

7.) You are the cause of my Need to defend and explain. Enough. Go easy on me, they don’t get it, never will.

8.) The depression episodes you bring to my life are so very Not cool, yo.

9.) The anxiety I live with worrying about where I will get test strips, insulin and pump supplies next have taken on a new kind of insanity. Yes, this is not entirely your fault but I can blame you anyway.

10.) Oh broken pancreas, I did nothing to deserve your madness and while I do not like the word hate, it is never ever too late, to find some way, in which I could easily say; take a hike for you I do Not like.
