A new goal

Because I’ve had way too much baby on the brain (4 months til its GO TIME!) I’ve decided to set some goals for myself, to shift the focus from possible-baby-making-in-the-future, to the here and now.

My Goal: I want abs before I get pregnant.

I have always been thin, sometimes I have to work at it (like if the scale starts creeping up, or I’m more jiggly around the hips than I’m used to). BUT, I’ve never in my life had killer abs. Or any kind of abs at all.

I figure its something that I’ve always wanted and can focus on now and do something about, rather than daydreaming about babies 24/7.  So, it may be a strange goal…it might be superficial…but maybe it will get me out of this funk I’ve been in.

Plus, it may motivate me to work out more. At my last doctor appointment (anxiety checkup) I realized I gained 6 pounds in the last two months! That really crept up on me. Since I’ve made the goal, I’ve worked out at least 3 times a week. I’m not looking for bodybuilder abs…just overall nice and toned. And if better blood sugars come as a result, then that’s just icing on the cake!
