No Pump Run

Today I did my easy, long run (21km in 1.50hours) around Masterton without my pump.  I did this because I didn't have any gels so I had to make other plans to get through this run.

At the start of the run my BG level was 4.4mmol-L.   I took my pump off 5minutes before I left after eating a LCM bar.  I ran the first 55minutes by myself and tested (6.7mmol-L).  I picked up my father (Carl) and husband (Mark) and they ran the last 50minutes with me.  When I finished the run my BG level was 11.2mmol-L.  Not a bad result with no insulin on board.

A success I think...I usually do all of my runs with my pump on so good to know that I can (when I need to) run without it.
