My Diabetes Chat Meter is Back Up To "Full"

....courtesy of the D-girls last night.

Last night, we had a Huntsvegas D-girl meetup, and it was fantastic. It really was. I loved it. I needed it. [I also loved and needed the green tea with Splenda, but that's another story].

It was great to hear that other people struggle too and that Diabetes just does it's own thing sometimes, no matter how hard you might try to lasso it. It was fun to hear about their relationships, their dogs, and their insulin schedules. We also discussed symptoms and low-blood sugar fixes, CGMs and insulin pumps, and family and extended family.

And I thought all that D-talk would inspire me to write a glorious post about The D, but alas, it has done quite the contrary. I woke up this morning and realized I was burnt out talking about Diabetes. As much as it weaseled its way into my life, I often try to weasel away from IT; I can only handle hard-core D-talk in small bursts, which is ok I've decided. Don't get me wrong, I hope that we continue our meet-ups, I guess I just need a "breather" day afterward.

Ironically, this post was all about what it wasn't supposed to be about. Wow, I'm lame sometimes.
