Erectile Dysfunction and ED Pumps

Erectile dysfunction or impotence is a common problem for many US males. Up to 30% of all men under aged 50 and over 50% of all men over age 50 will experience impotence or erectile dysfunction at some point annually. It is considered normal for a male to experience erectile dysfunction or impotence up to 20% of the time. Erectile dysfunction is not normal at any age and is not age related, with the exception that a male has to have entered puberty for the hormones to be working and erectile dysfunction to be present. Erectile dysfunction is not an incurable disease, but is a condition that has many treatments. Treatments include penile implant surgery, injections, suppositories, penis pumps or ED pumps and medications such as Viagra, Levitra and Cialis.

Penis pumps or ED pumps are the most common treatment for erectile dysfunction. Penis pumps or ED pumps are less invasive meaning there are no injections or surgeries required for their use. Pumps are the least expensive over the long run or course of treatment than medication or surgery, and has absolutely no side effects or drug interactions. Since the medications given for erectile dysfunction have drug interactions, there are many people who simply cannot take them. They also have restrictions on the medical conditions that one cannot have in order to take the medications. Therefore, there are fewer people able to take the medications and doctors turn to the penis pumps as a treatment.

Pumps are able to be purchased online for privacy, or through many sexual health stores. There is no prescription needed for a pump, and they can be used at any time at home without help. Many men find that after using a pump, they have added girth and length to the penis after only a few uses. The pumps can be expensive at first but have an overall lower cost than medications, surgery or injections. The pumps treat erectile dysfunction by forcing the blood to stay in the penis. The pumps are made of a tube, constriction bands and a pump. The bands are placed, and the penis is inserted into the tube. The pump is then used to remove the air pressure from the tube, forcing the blood to be constricted to the penis and creating an erection. Many men find this an instant option that is comfortable and easy to achieve long term erections for sexual encounters.
