Honestly, these test strips are not accurate in my opinion, therefore lack control. I tried them out (along with the glucose meter) and just could not find the reading anywhere near my primary meter readings. The ended up ranging above and bellow by a significant amount, making it hard to justify continued use of the Control Glucose Meter.
I am not the biggest fan of US Diagnostics as many of their products are simply low budget. The Easy Gluco G2 was given to me so I figured I would give a day trial, what the heck it was new and ready to go. I was surprised how well it worked and that is felt good. AND, it is not as good as my Freestyle Lite meter, so I will have to give it an A for improvement on past products, a C for a long ways to go before being a contender.
I once was an unlucky user of this product and it failed me miserably. I did everything I could to make this glucose meter work for me, but it just became to unpredictable and awkward to use. I traded up and have not looked back since. -Bill
I would not say this is the best device in the world but it definitely suits its purpose and has a decent voice command walk through. Buttons all large and easy to decipher from others. There is nothing worse than pressing a wrong button and not knowing where you left off, the prodigy voice eliminates these kind of problems with multiple fail-safe options. The only thing is I would recommend updating because I believe it has been a while.
I believe this meter is excellent for on the go testing. I prefer the Aviva, but now that I have the Nano, I have been taking it with me whenever I leave the house and need to test.
The one thing I can say about the Aviva test strips that really impressed me is their accuracy is amazing. I have tested for many years and struggled with the guessing games of if this test is good or should I test again. Since starting on the Aviva Glucose Meter, I have lost that feeling, as my tests results and feeling of my true levels actually match for once! Thank Roche for making my life a little bit easier.
The Accu-Chek Aviva meter is considered one of the better glucose meters on the market. This device has great ease of use, good size and a reputation for reliability. The test strips are also easy to handle and testing is fast. A good choice for most people.
My original fell off, so I ended up picking up two encase I loose another, but this one looks to lock fairly tight.
Tested this on the product today and it did exactly what is supposed to do and fit snug. Also did not look to easily loosen and fall off. Five stars for this simple replacement part.
The Sof serter Insertion Device has made the use of my infusion set so much easier and is fairly fast. I would never go back without one.
